I AM… Driven, hardworking, reliable, dedicated, experienced hiker and outdoorsman.
I BELIEVE… In the preservation of native Virginia ecosystems, improvement of native wildlife habitat, and for the use of responsible land management practices for outdoor recreation areas.
BIO As CUH’s Prescribed Burn Manager I use my skills, knowledge and experience in the use of Prescribed Fire as a tool towards advancing CUH’s goals of advancing biodiversity education and conservation in the Piedmont Ecoregion. I utilize the experience and training gained through years of work as a Wildland Firefighter, and working with organizations such as Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, The U.S. Forest Service, and The Nature Conservancy, among others.
I am also a full-time employee of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation Natural Heritage Division in the Shenandoah Valley Region as well as a volunteer firefighter in Crozet, Virginia.
